The Preserve Golf Club is a Semi-Private, 18 hole golf course located in Bradenton, Florida
The course first opened for play in 2001. Ted McAnlis was the course architect.
The Preserve was designed and sculpted with exceptional care and respect for the natural Florida wetlands. Water is present on 9 holes yet ultimately quite playable. Bridges, lush landscaping, ancient oaks, tall pines, and wetlands wildlife are abundant. A genuine preserve feel has been captured by the course designer. The course has a links feel. Strategy over boldness is advised.
Par for the course is 72. From the back tees, the course plays to 7,000 yards. From the forward tees, the course measures 4,870 yards. The longest hole on the course is # 9, a par-5 that plays to 580 yards. The shortest hole on the course is # 12, a par-3 that plays to 155 yards from the back tees.
Watch out for # 3, a 440-yard par-4 challenge and the #1 handicap hole on the course. The easiest hole at The Preserve Golf Club is # 13, a 380 yard par-4.

this is not a terrible golf course although it does have a few holes that are not so fair. the biggest issue with this layout is the over play conditions that seem to plague this place everyday. They regularly run over a 1/2 hour late for tee times( being nice), and they have zero rangers to keep up place of play. So if you llike 5 1/2 hour rounds( to be kind) then this is the place. I went in after three hours and nine holes to get a rain check and it was like pulling teeth.

I love this course. With water on every hole, it is very challenging and penal if you don't hit the ball straight. I have played it more than a dozen times the last 3 months and I continue to go back for the challenge.
